Privacy policy

Short version: this site collects almost nothing. What it does collect, and what you can ask me to do about it, is below.

01Who is responsible

thesachinsharma.in is run by Sachin Sharma, an individual software developer in India. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), Sachin Sharma is the Data Fiduciary for personal data that reaches him through this site.

02What the site collects

  • WhatsApp and call links: pressing one opens your own WhatsApp or phone app with a prefilled message or number. Nothing is sent unless you send it. WhatsApp and your phone network then handle it under their own terms.
  • What you tell me yourself: your name, your number and a line about what you want built, when you write to me. I get this only because you chose to send it.
  • Hosting logs: like any website, whoever hosts these pages keeps routine server logs, for example IP address, browser type and page requested. I do not use them to identify visitors.

This site has no sign-up, no login, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking scripts. The brief builder on the home page is built in your own browser and opens WhatsApp with the message it writes. Nothing you type there is sent to this site. Your draft is kept in your browser's local storage on your own device so it is still there when you return, and you can clear it any time in your browser settings.

03Why it is used

Only to answer your message and, if we work together, to run the project. It is not sold, not rented and not added to a mailing list. I will not send you marketing you did not ask for.

04Consent

I process what you send because you chose to send it, which is your consent under the DPDP Act. You can withdraw consent at any time by telling me. I will stop using the data and delete it unless the law requires me to keep it.

05Who else sees it

Only me, and the service that carries the message: WhatsApp or your phone network. If you ask me to bring in my partner Arjav Jain, he sees the message too. I do not pass your details to anyone else.

06How long it is kept

If we do not end up working together, I delete your message within 12 months. If we do, I keep project records for as long as the work and the handover need them, then delete or return them. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time.

07Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can ask me to:

  • tell you what personal data of yours I hold and how it is used;
  • correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
  • erase it;
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you cannot;
  • deal with a complaint. If I have not resolved it, you may take it to the Data Protection Board of India.

08Children

This site is written for adults who run or are starting a business. It is not meant for people under 18, and I do not knowingly collect their data.

09Security

The site is served over HTTPS and I keep what I hold to the minimum above. No system is perfectly secure, so I do not ask for passwords, ID numbers or payment details through this site.

10Requests and complaints

Contact me on WhatsApp or call on +91 88269 14313, and say what you need. I will reply personally. Changes to this policy show here with the date at the top.
